Josephine Baker and Louise Brooks

 

Two inspiring women that changed the history of dance, stage and film.

 

With our company taking on the names of these two iconic women, our work celebrates the 1920s and beyond with our authentic choreography and costumes true to each bygone era. 

​

From dancing about in flapper dresses to being caught out by the builder with a top hat and cane in the living room, we really have been in love with the classics since we can remember. After performing, choreographing and teaching around the world professionally, we came together in London and launched The Gatsby Girls in 2013. This is where our combined passion for the 1920’s and all things vintage was realised.

In our 10th year in the UK and our 6th year in Australia, we are thrilled to have Brooks and Baker home in Melbourne and are very much looking forward to sharing all we know and love with you.
